Long-term user frustrated with oversized, oily black vitamin A capsules replacing previous clear ones.
Recent vitamin A capsules now black, oversized, and leak oil – stark quality decline from original clear powder format.

Multivitamin for Women - Daily Womens Multivitamin & Multimineral with Vitamin A, C, D, E, B12, Zinc & More. Essential Vitamins for Women for Energy, Focus, Hair Growth & Overall Health. 60 Capsules
I’ve been taking this for about a year now and up until my most recent bottle, they’ve been average size, clear capsules filled with powder. The newest bottle contains large black capsules that leak oil. Not a fan of this switch.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin A plays crucial roles in maintaining vision, immune function, and skin health. Found naturally in foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, and spinach, this fat-soluble vitamin exists in two primary forms: preformed vitamin A (retinoids) from animal sources and provitamin A carotenoids from plant sources. Adults typically require 700-900 mcg RAE daily, with specific needs varying by age and gender.
Supplements often contain vitamin A palmitate or beta-carotene. While deficiencies can cause night blindness and immune impairment, excessive intake (>3,000 mcg daily) may lead to toxicity symptoms like dizziness and liver damage. Many users prefer capsules over tablets for easier digestion, but quality consistency remains vital – factors like capsule integrity, ingredient stability, and manufacturing standards significantly impact effectiveness.
When choosing supplements, consider third-party testing certifications and opaque packaging that protects light-sensitive nutrients. Consumers should monitor product formulation changes, as alterations in capsule type or fillers might affect nutrient absorption. Those experiencing unexpected physical changes after switching supplement brands should consult healthcare providers.
