Accurate vitamin A listing with stevia, avoided personally but fairly reviewed.
No-sugar vitamin A includes stevia; listing accuracy acknowledged despite personal dietary preference.
This review is from Amazon.com for product:
Vitamatic Sugar Free Vitamin A Liquid Drops 10000 IU (3000 mcg) as Retinyl Palmitate - Approximate 4 Months Supply - Immune Support, Eye Health, Skin Health - 2 FL OZ (59 ml)
I saw that the product was sugar free but I missed that it contained stevia. The photos in the listing clearly state it contains stevia so I can’t take away stars for that. I personally will not put that in my body.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient essential for vision, immune function, and skin health. It exists in two primary forms: preformed vitamin A (retinol) from animal sources like liver and dairy, and provitamin A carotenoids (like beta-carotene) from colorful fruits and vegetables such as carrots and spinach.
Daily intake recommendations vary by age and gender, with adult men needing about 900 mcg RAE and women 700 mcg RAE. Deficiency can lead to night blindness and weakened immunity, while excessive intake, particularly from supplements, may cause toxicity symptoms like dizziness or liver damage.
Incorporate vitamin A through a balanced diet: sweet potatoes provide over 400% of the daily value per serving, while spinach and eggs offer versatile options. Always check supplement labels for additives like stevia if avoiding specific ingredients.
