Vitamin C serum boosts glow and hydration, despite minor orange staining on hands and packaging.
A glowing, hydrating Vitamin C serum praised for results, though orange staining occurs. Highly recommended for skincare enthusiasts.
This review is from Amazon.com for product:
COSRX Pure Vitamin C 13% Serum with Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrating Facial Serum for Fine Lines, Uneven Skin Tone & Dull Skin, 0.67fl.oz/20ml, Korean Skin Care
This product made my skin look so glowy after application. Worth your money. It is comfortable on the face and moisturizing. I was not a fan though of the orange residue on my hands. It actually stained my The Ordinary bottle lol. Other than that it’s a great product. I ordered another one.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant, is renowned for its skincare benefits, including brightening complexion, boosting collagen production, and protecting against environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution. When applied topically (as in serums), it helps fade hyperpigmentation and even out skin tone. However, its stability can be a challenge—exposure to light or air may degrade its potency, which is why many products use dark packaging or stabilized derivatives like ascorbyl glucoside.
In daily routines, pairing Vitamin C with sunscreen enhances UV protection, while combining it with hyaluronic acid improves hydration. Note that Vitamin C may cause slight irritation for sensitive skin; patch testing is advised. The orange residue mentioned in reviews often stems from oxidized Vitamin C, which, while harmless, suggests storage in a cool, dark place to prolong efficacy.
Beyond skincare, dietary Vitamin C from citrus fruits or supplements supports immune function and skin health. For topical use, consistency is key: applying serums daily maximizes long-term benefits like reduced fine lines and a luminous complexion.
