Positive review for Solgar Vitamin E, but delivery issues caused heat exposure in mailbox. Needs improved shipping methods.
Solgar Vitamin E praised, but delivery in hot mailbox compromised product. Suggests better shipping practices for supplements.
This review is from Amazon.com for product:
Solgar Vitamin E 670 mg (1000 IU), 100 Softgels - Natural Antioxidant, Skin & Immune System Support - Naturally-Sourced Vitamin E - Gluten Free, Dairy Free - 180 Servings
The product is great, Solgar is a good vitamin product company (5 stars). However, the delivery method is not great for vitamins (2 stars). The package was delivered by post office so left in our metal mailbox in the middle of hot Florida summer. It was there for almost 2 days before I realized that it was not delivered to my front door (like Amazon said). Please don’t leave vitamins in mailboxes, deliver a different way.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant essential for protecting cells from oxidative damage. It supports immune function, skin health, and may reduce inflammation. Natural sources include nuts (like almonds), seeds, spinach, and vegetable oils. Supplements, such as those from Solgar, are popular but require proper storage to maintain potency.
Heat and light exposure can degrade Vitamin E, reducing its effectiveness. Always store supplements in cool, dry places, avoiding prolonged exposure to high temperatures—like those in mailboxes during summer. Delivery methods matter: opt for shaded or temperature-controlled shipping to preserve supplement quality.
Consult a healthcare provider before starting supplements, especially if taking blood thinners, as Vitamin E can interact with medications. Balance intake through diet when possible, as excessive supplementation may pose health risks.
