Nature's Bounty Vitamin B Complex Sublingual Liquid 2 oz ( Pack of 4)
This product works to give you energy within minutes if you follow the directions. But I do not recommend taking on an empty stomach. I did this and within about 10 min I was so nauseous. I cooked something to eat, then went and worked out and when I got home from the gym I was nauseous again. It was my own stupidity that I forgot I didn't eat lunch before taking it. Also do not take after 5pm or you won't be able to go to sleep at a decent time.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin B complex supplements are crucial for energy metabolism, converting food into usable energy. However, as highlighted in this review, taking them on an empty stomach can cause gastrointestinal discomfort due to their acidity and rapid absorption. B vitamins (especially B6 and B12) interact with stomach acid, which explains the nausea described. For optimal results, pair them with a light meal containing fats or proteins to slow absorption.
Timing matters significantly with B vitamins. Their energizing effects stem from involvement in ATP production, making evening consumption problematic for sleep cycles. Unlike fat-soluble vitamins, water-soluble B vitamins require daily replenishment. While B1 (thiamine) and B3 (niacin) directly influence energy levels, B6 aids neurotransmitter production that affects alertness. Always check formulation types – some delayed-release versions may reduce stomach irritation but still require food pairing.
Users should note that individual tolerance varies. Those experiencing persistent nausea might benefit from switching to methylcobalamin (B12) forms or reducing dosage. Combining B vitamins with magnesium can sometimes mitigate side effects. Always consult healthcare providers when supplements disrupt daily functions, as chronic nausea could indicate absorption issues or interactions with other medications.
