Vitamin B supplement eases morning sickness with good taste, but dropper deterioration raises safety concerns about plastic toxicity.
Effective for nausea with great flavor, but damaged dropper poses plastic safety risks and dosing uncertainties in this Vitamin B supplement.
This review is from Amazon.com for product:
KAL Vitamin B-6 B-12 Folic Acid DropIns, Liquid Vitamin B Supplement Drops, Heart Health, Energy, Red Blood Cell Support with Methyl B12 and Methyl Folate, Natural Mixed Berry Flavor, 59 Servings, 2oz
The stuff tastes great and so far I think it’s helping with my morning sickness, but the dose amount on the dropper deteriorated and came off into the supplement which is not good. I’m hoping it’s not a toxic plastic or anything.
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Vitamin B6, a key nutrient in many anti-nausea supplements, is clinically recognized for reducing morning sickness during pregnancy. Its role in neurotransmitter regulation helps stabilize digestive discomfort. Other B vitamins like B12 support energy metabolism and nervous system health, often making B-complex supplements popular for overall wellness.
While supplements are convenient, natural sources of B vitamins include whole grains, eggs, and leafy greens. Always check dropper quality in liquid supplements – degraded plastic may leach harmful chemicals like phthalates. Glass or medical-grade silicone containers are safer alternatives for long-term use.
For pregnancy-related nausea, the American College of Obstetricians recommends 10-25mg of B6 every 8 hours. Consult healthcare providers before combining supplements with medications, as excessive B6 intake (over 100mg/day) may cause nerve damage. Store liquid B vitamins in cool, dark places to preserve potency and prevent packaging degradation.
