I definitely believe we should get as many nutrients as possible from our diet but sometimes supplements are helpful (looking at you Vitamin D). While the nutrients and levels in this vitamin seem to be at reasonable levels, a couple are excessive when it comes to teenagers. Which makes me wonder why this is marketed as a teen girl supplement.
Teens do not need 5000mcg of Biotin when the RDA is only 30 to 100mcg. Our bodies dispose of most unused ingredients in supplements but why take so much to begin with? I have the same question about the large amount of Vitamin A.
As an adult, I can take this supplement without a second thought as it’s very close to what I take now but I’d run it past my pediatrician before giving it to my teen.
